Mallika Sherawat was recently approached to host India’s Sexiest Bachelors on a newly launched channel. The actress after an initial hearing asked for an astronomical fee.

However whatever the channel offered, the sexy siren would demand double of it. After a few rounds of negotiations, the channel decided that they were better off without her.

Says a source, “As the channel was launched in May, they are looking at grabbing eyeballs. The show would feature hot hunks, so they felt the sexy siren was the best bet to anchor the show.”

Attitude problem

“The sexy siren feels that her Double Dhamaal track will overtake the Sheilas and Munnis of Bollywood.

If only she had given that much importance to her career, she would be driving with those windows all rolled up to avoid the papparazzi and fans.

But she’s known to hire her own paparazzi to follow her and now even to listen to her music!”

After Malaika Arora Khan and Katrina Kaif, its Mallika Sherawat’s turn to display her sultry moves in a desi-themed item song, which have become the latest craze in Bollywood post ‘Munni’ and ‘Sheila’.

Sherawat, who stars in the Reliance Entertainment and Maruti International’s ‘Double Dhamaal’, directed by Inder Kumar, has shot for a steamy item number titled ‘Jalebi Bai’.

The four day schedule of the song was shot at Mehboob Studios, where a lavish set of a casino was created to give the song the right look and feel. “She’s got her enticing moves right and is sure to give the Munnis and the Sheilas a run for their money!, ” a source said.

The song has been choreographed by ace dance master Ganesh Acharya and music is by Anand Raj Anand. The movie is slated to hit theatres this June.

Mallika Sherawat: Item No ‘Jalebi Bai’: It is raining item numbers in Bollywood. And of course what Malaika, Deepika, Katrina and Lisa do; Mallika Sherawat can do better. The sultry siren, who is getting paid a bomb to shake her hips, has shot a steamy number titled Jalebi Bai for Indra Kumar’s Double Dhamaal.

When contacted for her response on whether the song was more erotic than Munni, Sheila and the rest, Mallika only said, “Wait and watch.”Choreographer Ganesh Acharya feels his item is the one that will emerge the winner this year. Honestly, what happened to scripts; everyone is only talking of items.

Mallika Sherawat Says: I needed a taste of Hollywood: Roushan Mishra flirted with Mallika Sherawat and even got his picture clicked by the bombshell for her microblogging site. Calling myself a fan of Mallika Sherawat is an understatement. Greatest fan, certainly. I’m a banker and given my work schedule, I hardly get any time to watch films.

But I do make the time to catch this diva’s films. I have watched all of them (right from her ’17 kisses’ sensation Khwahish to the recent Hollywood flick Love Barack) and I admire her for her bold statements. When Mumbai Mirror informed me that I would get to meet her, I went shopping for new clothes!

I reached Filmistan where Mallika was shooting for her new reality show. ‘Will I get to chat with her’, ‘will she be snooty’, I thought, having heard of her nakhras. As I voiced my concerns, I was assured that Mallika will finish shooting soon and would meet me (I still couldn’t believe my luck).
