Lowers price to return to his position as host of Khatron Ke Khiladi; his promos air tonight

After much drama and name-tossing, Akshay Kumar will host Khatron Ke Khiladi 4. The actor flexes his muscles and packs a punch in his first teaser that airs tonight at prime-time.

Sunil Manchanda’s MAD Production has created the first look. They are the same guys who shot the Salman Khan promos for Bigg Boss 4. Marco Kalantri directs Akki while Niharika Khan styles him in the teaser.

Akshay hosted the first two seasons of the reality show which were shot in South Africa while Priyanka Chopra anchored the third season filmed in Brazil. Akshay returns to SA for the fourth outing of the drama.

It is heard that the owners of the cited brand did find an out of the ordinary flair in the actress as she is evidently applauded as the beauty with brains. However, the news is yet to be announced officially by the camera major.

Akshay Kumar replaces Priyanka Chopra as reality show host, puts rival Ajay Devgn out of competition

It can be revealed now. Akshay Kumar returns as host of the next season of reality TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi, replacing Priyanka Chopra and pipping the other contender, Ajay Devgn to the post.

Khiladi Kumar is expected to fly down to Cape Town, where the fourth season will be shot in the first week of March.

Since Priyanka Chopra’s hosting of the show didn’t drive up TRPs as expected, Colors (the channel the show airs on) decided to play it safe and go with a proven winner: Akki.

“However”, says an insider, “Ajay Devgn was keen to host KKK4 and was in talks with the channel. Also, given the rivalry between the two actors, it would be like thumbing his nose at his rival.

It seems Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who will be hosting the Indian version of “Guinness World record”, is finding her stint on small screen hard.

“Just finished shooting 1 of the Guiness world record episodes! Hats off to Amitji, Salman, Shah Rukh, Akshay and Priyanka Chopra for rocking TV as its SO TIRING ! Phew! (sic),” Preity wrote on microblogging site Twitter.

The show will be telecast later this year on Colors.
