Former sweethearts Katrina and Ranbir gear up to play similar roles, albeit in different movies

Even before Ranbir Kapoor sets to rock the big screen as a rockstar in Imtiaz Ali’s next, his rumoured ex Katrina Kaif has managed to master the art of playing the guitar.

The actress, who apparently plays a musician in the film, was so keen on getting her notes right she that would ardently practice the guitar whenever she’d get the time.

Thankfully, for her, there was a well-established musician within the crew to help her from going out of tune.

Mallika Sherawat was recently approached to host India’s Sexiest Bachelors on a newly launched channel. The actress after an initial hearing asked for an astronomical fee.

However whatever the channel offered, the sexy siren would demand double of it. After a few rounds of negotiations, the channel decided that they were better off without her.

Says a source, “As the channel was launched in May, they are looking at grabbing eyeballs. The show would feature hot hunks, so they felt the sexy siren was the best bet to anchor the show.”

Attitude problem

Anushka Sharma to love Ranbir Kapoor? This will be Ayan Mukerji’s second film with Ranbir, he has previously directed Ranbir in the off-beat coming of age comedy Wake Up Sid. Like the previous outing the next film is to be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.For a while it was assumed that the female lead would be played by Deepika who is also close friends with Ayan, and was also close to Ranbir, then after their much public break-up, Katrina’s name was floating around as the one likely to play the lead. Now, with things not looking too well between Ranbir and Katrina, it does seem apt to consider another.

Ranbir Kapoor reject dating Katrina Kaif: The dashingly handsome Ranbir Kapoor’s image of a cassanova was perhaps blown out of proportion by the media. Very recently the actor aired his grievances with him being linked with any and everybody. Apart from Deepika his list of dates was supposed to have been big and varied. Katrina the former girlfriend of Sallu bhai was one of its attractions.

In a television show he insisted that Katrina had never been dated by him thus either break- up or heart wrenching consequences following it do not arise. The chat show featured a pleading Ranbir requesting all and sundry not to fabricate stories regarding relationships. The actor re affirmed the embarrassment caused to his parents as a result of such fictions. He feared going out with friends on grounds that he may again be at the receiving end. 29-year old Sneha who has done films in all the four major South Indian languages—Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada—is all set to make her Hindi debut in Revathy S Varhma’s Mad Dad.

One of the greatest showman in Bollywood, Raj Kapoor started his own production house, R.K. Films. RK studios were responsible for films like ’Awaara’, ’Aag’, ’Shri 420’, which became the trendsetter for popular mainstream cinema in Bollywood.
