Now that Tees Maar Khan is over and done with Farah Khan is all set indulge in her first love, choreography. She’s been asked by Aamir Khan to choreograph a song for Delhi Belly a film that for all practical purposes director Abhinay Deo completed a year ago.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is ready for the first release of the year Patiala House, which will be hitting the theaters on February 11. The promos of the film suggest that it is going to be a hit for Akshay, who has faced consecutive three failures in 2010 with Khatta Meetha, Action Replayy and Tees Maar Khan.

Patiala House will make Askhay Kumar, the real ‘khiladi’ as he plays an aspiring cricketer in this film. His character is supposedly based on a real life cricketer Monty Panesar, who became the first Sikh representing England in cricket.

Katrina Kaif’s sensuous ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ number brought in the audiences in droves to watch Farah Khan’s “Tees Maar Khan”, with the movie garnering 90-95 percent occupancy on the day of its release Friday.

With their curiosity whetted by Katrina’s slithery moves in television promos of the film, the Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer was a hit on its first day.

However, industry insiders predict the huge turnout is mostly due to Katrina’s dance number.

“We are having good advance bookings for ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and the initial response is good, with almost 90 percent occupancy, but the content is not at all as per expectations,” Yogesh Raizada, corporate head (cinemas) of Wave Cinemas, told.

It’s official. Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan is a remake of Vittorio de Sica’s 1966 comic caper After The Fox.

So far the obvious similarities between the two films were being pooh-poohed by the film’s team. But now just two days before release there are big bold declarations regarding the source material for Tees Maar Khan.

How come?

Akshay Kumar’s chronic back problem which immobilized him on Tuesday has a strange and bizarre connection with Farah Khan.

Farah who’s just directed Akshay in Tees Maar Khan, earlier directed Shah Rukh Khan who also suffered from a chronic back problem that has put him out of action more than once. Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif says she drew inspiration from pop star Shakira for the sizzling item song “Shiela Ki Jawani” from her upcoming film “Tees Maar Khan”.

When asked by reporters here about comparisons of her dance in the superhit number with that of Shakira, she said she can only dream of such comparisons.

“I can only dream of such comparisons. To be very frank, I drew inspiration from her. If my dance in the song ‘Shiela ki Jawani’ reminds the viewers of Shakira, it’s a huge reward for me, ” said Katrina Kaif, who was in Kolkata with her “Tees Maar Khan” co-star Akshay Kumar Saturday for the promotion of the film.
